Live recording from the Pedrito Martinez Group are featured on this edition of Escuela de Rumberos. Pedrito Martinez first started playing congas in Havana as a child, before joining Jane Bunnett and The Spirits of Havana. After moving to New York he joined the Cuban fusion group Yerba Buena. He now leads his own band, featuring Jhair Sala on percussion, Alvara Benavides on bass, and the amazing cuban keyboardist Axel Tosca Laugart.
